Stewart Tanner

Stewart Tanner is a member of the MEF Board of Directors and currently serves as MEF's Vice President. Stewart and his wife, Jacqui, have 3 children, including a Campo graduate, a current Cougar and a child at JM. Stewart has lived in Moraga for the past 10 years.

Stewart moved to California to attend Stanford University and has been in The Golden State ever since. His 20+-year career has focused on financial services and investing, including investment banking and private equity/credit. Stewart is active in his kids' lives - he loves being a "soccer dad" and coach - and tries to attend all of their school and extracurricular functions. He enjoys volunteering at his church and loves to run, play squash, and go on tennis "dates" with Jacqui. 

Stewart grew up in Connecticut where he greatly benefited from his public school education throughout middle and high school - learning from fantastic mentors, playing multiple sports and participating in various musical theater productions / touring choirs shaped his vision of what a high quality public education experience can do for an individual's life. Stewart sees all of these same qualities in his childrens' educational experiences here in Moraga and wants to be a part of something great - he never ceases to be amazed by the caliber of talent MEF has attracted and the sheer amount of volunteer hours that go into helping make Moraga a truly world-class public education haven.
