Fred Weil
Fred Weil, a 54 year resident of Moraga, is a tax and business transaction attorney who has practiced law for more than 57 years. His three children attended the Moraga District schools and Campolindo High School. His younger daughter and her family are long-time residents of Moraga and their daughter is currently a freshman at Campolindo High School.
Fred has previously served on the Moraga School District Board, the Acalanes Union High School District Board, and the Moraga-Orinda Fire Protection District Board, as well as multiple Town and school district committees. Fred was named the 2019 Moraga Citizen of the Year.
In 1981, Fred served as the incorporator and first director of MEF, completing the organization’s legal formation before transitioning it to the first volunteer board. He is pleased to return as a working member of the MEF Board.
Fred was the first in his extended family to have attended college. He later graduated from the University of Chicago Law School. He has personally experienced how education can be life changing. He is committed to the education of young people and especially to helping them to build strong educational foundations.
